Lovastatin Production by Wild Eurotium cristatum Isolated from Fuzhuan Brick Tea Produced Using Forest Resources in Auhua

Fuzhuan brick tea is a dark produced using plant leaves, and its quality strongly affected by Eurotium cristatum. The superior cristatum strain could enhance functional components in tea, improving economic value. To research the lipid-lowering substance of from Anhua country production area, several wild-type strains were screened for lovastatin production. Of all 20 strains, 6 produce lovastatin, H20 test highest lovastatin. organ was studied, yield sexual propagule (ascospore ascocarp) highest. Some fermentation parameters researched, optimum condition, such as PDA medium containing additional 8% soluble starch, 32 °C, 120 r/min, are reported. These results promising developing one with high function expanding scope forest resource application.
